Pension Westerburen is a familiair bed & breakfast in Schiermonnikoog. You’re being welcomed by Aïcha and Halbe Kroes. Our guesthouse is located in the center of the village and has eleven double rooms. It is also possible to place an extra bed in two rooms. Pets are NOT allowed in the guesthouse.
In the conservatory in our guesthouse, breakfast is served every morning with fresh bread every day from the local bakery, cheese from the local cheese shop and meats from the Waddenburtcher from Anjum. You can also enjoy, for example, fair trade coffee and tea, a delicious special beer from the region or an organic wine during your entire stay through self-service.
If you would like to have your dinner delivered or picked up by a restaurant of your choice, we will provide crockery. In addition, we work together with restaurant Brakzand and Havenpaviljoen Wad Anderz, where you can eat the daily menu at a reduced rate.
After a day of cycling through the dunes or a lovely walk by the sea, it is nice to come home to Westerburen.
All rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toilet and are equipped with a TV and seating area. Bed linen and towels are included.
You can use free WiFi everywhere in our bed & breakfast.
Our guesthouse is non-smoking, including on the terraces. Pets are not allowed unfortunately.
In addition to a room with breakfast, you can also choose to book a packed lunch or dinner.
If you're going out during the day, you can put together a packed lunch from the breakfast buffet. Let us know one day in advance, and we'll make sure you get the right items.
For dinner, we partner with two restaurants on the island. You can specify these options when booking your room. More information can be found under "Packages."
If you book directly with us or through our own website, free coffee and tea will always be available during your stay.
The former owners of Westerburen (our (in-law) parents) rent apartments. Reservations of the apartments are done through them. On the page of the apartments you can check the availability and also make a reservation directly.
The apartments are located in their house on the Reddingsweg, on the east side of the village. This is a very quiet location with no through car traffic. The house is also a short walk from the village center and with forest and dune areas on your doorstep. Pets are allowed here.
Apartment "South" is suitable for two people. Apartment "North" is suitable for two to four people. You pay a deposit in advance and can opt for final cleaning, so you don't have to do it yourself.
